Hi There!

My name is Katie Owen and I am a Chicago based theater artist. I received my BFA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a focus in Scenic Design. Since graduating, I have completed a properties fellowship at Berkeley Repertory Theater and have enjoyed exploring the world of props. Currently, I am working as a Props Artisan at Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut. When I am not designing, painting, or creating props you will find me trying a new cuisine, visiting a reusable craft store, or exploring the city.
